The Property Was Totally Mispresented
We were looking forward to our stay, based on the interior pictures posted, plus the fact that we were going to be able to bring one of our dogs along. We were sorely disappointed.
We checked out early because we could not shower due to the broken shower/tub faucet/there was no hot water to shower. We didn't realize, until our second morning, that these two things were issues, because we didn't shower the first morning, due to no shampoo/soap available in the shower. In addition to the sub-par shower, the beds were the cheapest thing anyone could buy--to the point they were barely mattresses. They were such poor quality that it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. There were two beds, & we slept in both, & both mornings, woke up in extreme pain.
The outside is less than desirable, as well--it is a very old house that is being rehabbed, but the outside should have been the first thing the owner worked on. The houses next door & behind made it even worse.
When we messaged the owner to let him know we were leaving early, he denied that there was no hot water, & acted is if we didn't know how to run a faucet, which is absolutely not the case. We are both college-educated men who have taken lots of showers & know how to run a faucet. He did not address our concern about the faucet lever coming off, when we turned it on.
We were very disappointed in our stay, & that our visit with our families had to be cut short, due to substandard accommodations.
