"By far my favourite place I stayed in-in Iceland. Such an awesome place! Our room was large and comfortable with an eat in area and kitchen. "This is not actually a hotel. This is a SCAM. We booked eight months in advance of our trip and of course were immediately charged. Then, a day before our trip, it occurred to us that we hadn’t been sent check in instructions. I looked in my inbox and had received only one communication from the owners with an out of service phone number and fake email address. We tried many different ways to get the contact info to check in but after reading additional reviews it became clear we would need to scramble to find alternate lodging which was very expensive. We called Expedia prior to the “check in” and they said they couldn’t get in touch with the owners either so they would give us a refund. Then I notice the next day that refund has not been issued. I call Expedia back and they tell me that the hotel says we missed our check in. I ask if they have literally any proof of that, since I have so much proof of TRYING to check in and not being able to. Expedia continues to reject my refund despite many people having the same experience as me and I have to dispute the charge with my credit card. DO NOT BOOK."
