So many great things to say! The host was exceptionally friendly. The room was fantastic with a beautiful view of the ocean with a semi-private patio. The host also had a really nice common kitchen area where freshly baked cakes were made for the sampling! The family hiked up the hill to the waterfall—and met very friendly dogs, got up and maybe too close to some small sheep families, and we did not want to leave a minute early!

This guest house far exceeded our expectations. We stayed here for our first night in Iceland and were blown away by the location and the room. We were greeted by two very sweet and smart dogs and then stepped into the check in office which smelled of cakes and cookies just laid out for guests. The host pointed out a grill that was in the shed, which made for a great dinner. After dinner, we went for a hike up the slope behind the house, to the waterfall. We were escorted very caring by one of the dogs. The view of the cliffs and the bay was spellbinding. The guest house very apologetically says that they don’t offer breakfast. This is not necessary. Their delicious cake and coffee made for a great desert and breakfast.

Amazing property - the hosts are very responsible it was beautiful. Easy check in, wonderful cakes in the reception area. The dogs and cat were so friendly and cute and the hot tub and cold plunge were perfect after the glacier hike! Thank you!

Great Time!

Stayed with 3 friends for 2 nights. Super accommodating and clean. Greeted by 2 cute and playful dogs. They even left out pastries in the kitchen for the visitors. Nothing short of amazing with great hospitality!

Idyllic!

This is the most charming place ever. The owner, Anna, responded quickly to my emails and when she checked us in she was friendly and efficient AND had baked a cake and cookies that guests were welcome to. The communal area had games, books, and random food on offer. It felt very wholesome. Our room was adorable with a small kitchen (mid size fridge, stove, microwave, toaster). We controlled the heat and were able to keep our room very warm. The 2 dogs greeted us every morning on our private porch and seemed so happy. The hotel/cabins are at the foot of a mountain/waterfall and its so beautiful people driving by stop to take pictures. Across the road is an inlet. Its a bit remote so plan to get groceries before you arrive. This was a good base for going to Westman Islands, the Lava Center, Black Sand Beach and several waterfalls. They also have an Elf village and an outdoor hot tub. We used it both nights and it was heaven. Everything is just so and lovely. I wish I could stay there again.

The property is gorgeous and the staff is friendly and kind. Accommodations are clean and stocked. Enjoyed reading the custom booklet about the history of the property and the surrounding area as well as learning about local attractions. Appreciated the complementary sweets. Appreciated the room servicing, which made sure everything was clean during our stay. Highly recommend staying at the Haytower cottage. It is very charming!

The Garage was absolutely lovely. I can't say enough nice things about our stay, the property was clean, unique, quaint, beautiful, and comfortable with gorgeous views. They communicated well prior to our arrival and were kind and helpful during our stay, even provided us a boot dryer to use which was so appreciated. I would recommend The Garage without hesitation to anyone. It's location is also a great spot to adventure from daily to enjoy all the beautiful sights of south Iceland. The Garage is set in a beautiful property with convenient location and wonderful friendly hosts. Staying here was one of the high points of our trip! There are walkable trails to see the waterfall, and a great location for visiting key attractions. We hope to come back, and we'll stay longer next time!!!

The best possible place! And they make daily baked goods to share which is the icing on the cake. Ideally locate for everything you want to see between golden circle and Vik. Would absolutely come here again!!

I cannot recommend this enough! Beautiful spacious and clean room! Cooking facilities in the room was more than sufficient. The bedroom and bathroom fixtures/furniture were of high quality. Check in was super smooth - Anna made it super easy to check in after hours. When we arrived, she had even baked some treats which were delicious! The hot tub was such a nice touch - cool air, perfect unobstructed view of the night sky and the warm water - so dreamy. Location was great as well, we went to the diamond beach and back all within the same daylight. We loved our stay. Thank you!
