Oxford Suites Portland - Jantzen Beach
"5 stars for the staff - polite, competent, helpful and very pleasant. 5 stars for the facility -clean, modern, in very good shape. Not a delux hotel, but FAR above average. Very spacious room (we had a single king with sofa). Everything worked. Nice indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. Roomy breakfast area with much better than typical Breakfast offerings. Interesting mix of truck drivers and families staying here. The only criticism is the location. Sketchy area -- not a hotel you should stay at if you like to walk around the neighborhood. And do not try to get here from downtown Portland between 4:30 and 6:00pm - it takes 30 minutes to go the last 2 miles. But once you get into the hotel, it is a haven of modern, well kept hospitality."
