Clean room Spacious for a twin room Arrived early, staff was lovely on arrival, allowing me to leave my suitcase until booking in, and going to the motor services. Only used as a stopover due to being early for a cruise the following day, I was happy with my choice, easy destination for friends to pick me up enroute to final destination

Didn't like a single thing. Should be shut down and a complete refurbishment. Smelly, dirty, grim, broken items, cheap loo roll, bed not made and cups etc not refreshed or cleaned. I could go on and on..... £125 a night is appalling. We will be looking to get some form of refund. The management / proprietors should be ashamed. I wouldn't let my dog stay in here.

Cheap and Good Quality

I really like this place, perfect for the night when travelling for work. Its cheap and you know what you are getting, but unlike other hotels that are dearer - this one has friendly staff and its clean and comfy, its an easy place to stay, services are convenient for food and you dont pay over the odda for the room. Its the beat of both worlds - cheap and cheerful but comfy and clean which you dont always see in places like this. I will stay here whenever im working in Southampton for the day.

A comfortable & quiet stay

We really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet dispite having the M27 right outside. The room was comfortable & clean, the shower was lovely. Helpful & friendly at check in. The plug socket which the hair dryer goes in to needs looking at, the plug doesn't stay in.

I received a welcome letter via email just before 6pm on the day of check in with information which would have been more useful prior to this time giving that we could have arrived from 3pm especially as there was vital information such as how to find the property as relying on sat nav directions would be unsuccessful. The letter also requested that if possible could we advice them of an arrival time. I had already tried to call to inform them that we would be arriving in the evening however the number listed on expedia is a dead line. The number on the Days in website is a national number which was not being picked up and the welcome letter had no contact number listed. The hotel is basic, there is no facilities on site (food, drink etc) as there is the service station next time). I had not picked up on others reviews that there was no air conditioning, had I had realised this I would not have booked here. The rooms are extremely hot so we had to have the window open, these could only be opened slightly due to the restrictors so made little difference. Unfortunately this then meant that we were kept up all night by the sound of the motorway traffic which is just a few metres away. We will not be staying here again.
