Clean, quiet and comfortable. Loved the Manor House/main building, which has an interesting and quirky history, dating back to the 1600s. Rooms are basic, a bit dated and located separately from the main building - now a conference centre - and are a complete contrast to the lovely 17th century features of the manor. Room was also quite hot as there is no air conditioning. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Check in was very quick. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine overlooking the grounds. It was perfect for a one night stay to avoid the hassle and expense of parking in nearby Winchester, where we were heading the next day. Would stay again.

Encouraging adults and children to share beds

Apparently they think it is normal to encourage adults to share beds with children. Booked for an adult and child and a double room comes up so book it. First time they put a folding bed in the room, and next time the refuse demanding up upgrade fee. Don’t offer the room then if you are expecting adults to share you children in the same bed!

This is one of the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at . The pillow cases were dirty, the room has no air con and the staff is incredibly rude. We paid £189 for a room that is not fit for anything . Not sure how it remains open tbh

Nice place

Very nice place, but we expected to sleep in the manor and we were in one of the chalets. It was fine. The bathroom had dead mosquitoes stuck to the wall but other than that it was clean. Breakfast lacked some love. Also ordering drinks at the bar at night wasn’t easy. Rather a long wait and not everything on tap was available. But overall we enjoyed it. It just seems to have so much untapped potential which could be easily fixed!

Great one night stay on the way to Southampton prior to a cruise. This Place has the Wow factor in spades. The main building houses a comfortable bar and delightful multi roomed restaurant in an elegant 18th centuary manor house painstakinly moved brick by brick to it's current location.

The room was tiny - place needs decorating / coffee was not always available / no snacks. Room was not cleaned the 2nd night. Restaurant and bar had more or less the same menu. Reception was not that friendly considering we have been there 4 times already - not looked after

Conference hotel, not recommended for couples tonstay and relax. Useful if just stopping overnight on the way somewhere. Spa has not anywhere to relax other than 1 bench, gym is limited. Value for what you pay, just dont have high expectations
