The first impression was not good as the front desk person wasn't very welcoming and the checkout person on Monday was even less welcoming. She could care less about hearing about our experience. Customer service there is lacking but can be fixed. The big problem we encountered was the room #70 upon check in. Paying $550 a night the bare minimum is the room should be clean. The kitchen table and around the sink were absolutely filthy, the floor was wet and sandy, then the sheets and blanket were stained. After traveling 4 hours with a newborn i didn't have the strength to ask them to come clean so i sent my husband to the store and cleaned it myself. It does appear the hotel is well maintained so I'm not sure what's going on with housekeeping. The location and room itself are beautiful so we are willing to give them another try next year. Please train housekeeping on how to clean properly and the front desk staff in caring about guest's experience. I will say we found someones camera under the tv stand and returned it to the front desk on Sunday and that woman was very plesant so it's not all staff. Also the maintenance men and ones who wipe the chairs down seem to do an excellent job. But again, checking into a dirty hotel room is not what anyone wants to do.

Always a great stay when we visit here. The rooms are clean, beautiful and have a great view of the ocean. We love our morning walks on the beach, the nice pool and great beach access. Being able to fish on the dock right next to us is a plus. Great place to stay.

Whoever designed the guest rooms did an excellent job! To have pocket doors between the bedroom and living space made for a wonderful vacation for all. The morning sunlight and beach view was an extra bonus.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for the first time this past week.. I was not skeptical nor did I question the reputation of this hotel as I had seen the reviews before we left and they were excellent .. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law both have stayed at smugglers and they said it was amazing .. but to experience it was pretty awesome. The hotel staff was extremely professional, and very nice.. the room you couldn’t ask for anything better .. we stayed on the second floor, which had a balcony.. the room was clean. The linens were clean. This place has a lot of great and convenient amenities that customers would really appreciate like we did.. we will definitely be back next year!! Cute, beach themed unit. Perfect size for us as a couple. Had a bedroom area, living room and dining area with a sink, fridge, and microwave. There is a small outdoor back porch area just behind the unit if you want to grill or chill outside and a small porch within the unit overlooking the parking lot and beach. A divider to split the bedroom and living room area the only thing is the ac is on the living room side so it got hot in the bedroom side so we had to leave it open which allowed the room to be really bright early in the morning. Only 1 small shampoo mixed with conditioner bottle offered so definitely bring your own soap, lotion and hair products. Pool is small but not crowded and remains open until 10pm. It also has adult only hours. They have a small private beach area which is accessible at night and an area for hotel social events.
