Rodeo Fan

Always go for the annual Ellensburg Rodeo and lodging is extremely limited and expensive…everywhere. At the rates being charged one would expect much nicer accommodations. Will say staff at Comfort Inn is great, the breakfast enjoyable, but the condition of carpets in rooms and down hallways detract from overall quality of facility.

This property was really a disappointment. We made an extremely high rate ( NYC prices) because it was a holiday weekend but I regretted the decision. The room was on the first floor near the pool and was poorly maintained and extremely loud. The bathroom is in need of renovation and more frequent cleaning of carpet (s). Also, the Inn may wish to rethink hours of operation so guests don’t hear loud voices in the pool area until 10pm. Also, maintenance began their day at 4am and were extremely noisy- not a fun wake up. The reception staff were nice. Perhaps the rooms that are so close to the pool should not be available to rent.

The continental breakfast was appreciated and those keeping it stocked and running were lovely! For the price (over a busy weekend, so… understandable markup), it wasn’t the hotel quality I would typically expect for this pricepoint. The pool cleanliness was questionable.

Room was clean, beds were clean and very comfortable. Air conditioner works great. You can tell they are in the process of updating sone things as the bed and furniture is new but the carpets are old and there were places that needed to be painted/repainted over repairs. I would stay here again.

Don't stay here if you have respiratory issues

Room reservation was for two nights. Stayed. Maybe total 1 hour at a hotel. First room was directly by the pool was musty, funky smell and the bedding was damp. Moved to a second room. Continued to have the musty, funky smell caused respiratory issues for me and my spouse. Had to check out and find another place to stay. Was unable to get a refund for the second day.

Let’s start with the check in process. The person checking us in was not rude but not very friendly or engaging either. The whole interaction felt very transactional. When we got to our room we were very disappointed. As we do with any hotel we stay at we scoped out the room. It was very clear that cleanliness was not a priority for this establishment. The room had a slightly unpleasant odor (my wife described as moist). There was dog food scattered on the floor (clearly not vacuumed after the previous guest). The room itself was very dirty, the bathroom floor was so sticky that we decided not to remove our shoes during our stay. We actually kept them on the nightstand so we could put them on before getting out of bed. My wife checked the bed for bugs and luckily that was clear. We did however opt to sleep with our clothes on. The mattress was not bad to sleep on. The shower was so dirty and mildewed that we opted to use rags to bath ourselves in the morning. We had to lay a towel on the bathroom floor before removing our shoes to clean ourselves as the floor was so sticky. When I pulled a tissue out of the box on the bathroom counter a prescription pill fell onto the counter. This was a bit disturbing as we don’t take any prescription medications. After our sponge baths we went for some breakfast. It was average. When we checked out nobody asked how our stay was. They just asked if we wanted a receipt. We would highly recommend staying at a different hotel.
