The hosts were very friendly and nice and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and the backyard and living room were beautiful to spend time just to relax and hang out. Breakfast provided was also very comforting and good.

The Host Matt was great! He was very accommodating and we enjoyed all our interactions, and amazing breakfasts he created each morning. The decor and furnishings of this historic 100+ year hotel made us feel like we were transported back in history. Such an amazing place to stay! I highly recommend this lovely place to all!

If historic inns being run as B&Bs are your thing

Matt, the proprietor, made our experience in Silverton all the better with assistance in myriad ways. He is also a jeep tourguide, and has extensive knowledge of the local area, including advice on what to do and see. The historic inn is old and a bit worn, as one would expect, but not in an unsatisfactory way.

I like the historic home atmosphere. The new owners have made improvements to make guests feel more at home. The breakfast was very good, not too fancy. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. Most rooms are upstairs (narrow staircase). The shared bathroom is small and has a clawfoot tub on a raised platform. We only stay one night when we stay here because my husband can't get in the tub. But that is what you get when you stay in a historic house. We love it here.

Charming Victorian era hotel. Very convenient when skiing at Silverton Mountain. Matt was a wonderful host and was attentive to every need. Also took advantage of the hot tub located just outside under a gazebo.
