The Space:

Welcome to Gandalf's Getaway, a Lord of the Rings-themed Smoky Mountains cabin for groups of up to 22 guests.

Four king bedrooms feature Hobbit, Wizard, Dwarf and Elf themes, each with a smart TV and private en-suite bathroom. The Shire room sleeps eight in twin-XL bunks, while the Ent room has two queen beds.



Treebeard's Living Room offers seating, smart TV and fireplace. The Fellowship arcade includes a pool table, digital games, arcade games and multicade. The Dragon Den theater seats 12. The private indoor pool is available year-round and maintained at approximately 80°F.



The kitchen includes full-size appliances, small appliances and cooking essentials. gigabit Wi-Fi, Ethernet, workspace, washer and dryer, central air and heating are provided. A high chair and Pack 'n Play/travel crib are available.



Outdoors are a hot tub, gazebo fire pit, gas grill, patio or balcony, backyard seating and sun loungers.



House rules: check-in after 4:00 PM; check-out before 10:00 AM; no smoking; the cabin is not pet-friendly. Safety features include alarms, extinguishers, first-aid kits, fireplace guards, one exterior Ring security camera aimed only at the driveway and noise monitors that assess sound levels without recording audio.



Guest Access:

Guests have private access to the cabin and its amenities, including the indoor pool, hot tub, theater, arcade and outdoor areas. Self check-in is available through a smart lock.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is recommended because public transportation is limited. Free outdoor parking is available in front of the cabin; there is no garage.

Excellent Stay

We had a wonderful time! It was everything we were hoping for. The only problem was a few spiders and a need for luggage racks. We stayed nine days. The game room was a big hit as well as the pool for the children. We had 20 staying with us off and on. Everything was clean and comfortable. Hannah and Mike were awesome!

Awesome cabin!!

This cabin is just cool!! There are so many things that made our stay great. The kitchen is fully furnished & easy to prepare meals for a large group with plenty of seating inside. We loved the outside seating area as well. Everyone enjoyed the game room, theater room & of course the pool! There are plenty of bathrooms & a washer/dryer to help after pool time. The cousins loved the hobbit holes & made for a great conversation area to hang out. We would highly recommend this cabin, it is truly an experience!!!

10/10 ⭐️ Lord of the Rings cabin!!!

This stay was SO COOL! It’s obvious that so much time and care were put into designing this unique cabin. My daughter was obsessed with sleeping in the Hobbit bunk room, swimming in the cave pool, and playing in the arcade room. Each room has such thoughtfully designed elements and themes and it was so fun to walk through and look at all of the Lord of the Rings themed decorations and details. Apart from the amazing themed elements, the cabin was comfortable, clean, spacious, and the hosts Mike and Shauna were wonderful. This was amazing, 10/10 would stay again! ⭐️

We had a few hiccups along the way with the house but overall had a good time during our week stay. The house is awesome but we weren’t able to use the pool due to the system getting stuck in shock mode and over chlorinating the pool to an unsafe level. This in turn made us not be able to use the theater because of the super strong chlorine smell burning the eyes and nose while downstairs. The smell also made its way upstairs making the living area not usable for a few days. The pool and theater were the main reason we rented this particular house. The game room was amazing, the kids and adults both loved it. Even with the issues we had, I would definitely recommend this rental when the pool system is functioning correctly.
