I have stayed at the renaissance a few times in the past but this time I had a poor experience from beginning to end. The phone operators were rude before I even checked in when I called to ask about a flower delivery. The front desk attempted to put me in a room that I did not reserve (a worse room). I had to call multiple times about my flower delivery and did not receive it until hours after I checked in (they confirmed twice they had the flowers). My room was not cleaned. They denied me late check out even though I am a Marriott bonvoy member. I did bring these issues up to management and they attempted to resolve it and were apologetic, but the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I was there to honor my sister who recently passed away and the hotel was unnecessarily rude and inhospitable. I find it unlikely that I will stay here in the future, which is a shame because it is a stunning hotel.
