Great Location For Exploring Sedona

Pros: We were pleasantly surprised to discover that this hotel is really a timeshare, even though we didn't make use of all the offerings.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: We also visited Mooney's Irish Pub, the Chapel of the Holy Cross and the Village of Oak Creek.
We loved the central location of Los Abrigados for exploring Sedona, Cottonwood, some wineries and Jerome. We found many great places for food and drink.

Economic Luxury

Pros: Beautiful and out of the rush of Sedona traffic and glitter, yet close enough to walk everywhere... assuming you're a billy goat. Joke!!
Cons: Everyone is directed to the Concierge. A little less prodding by their staff to tour their properties would be nice. They press a little too much
Location: Everything Sedona. Food, shops, and there's that view! Spectacular. Then there's the drive through Oak Creek Canyon. Wow.
Our 2nd stay... Both times, the hotel upgraded us to a luxury suite with living room, kitchen and private bedroom, at no additional charge. We had only booked a single, one king, no smoking. That was a pleasure and will bring us back again. Beautiful grounds, pools, close-by dining, are exceptional.

Great Stay!

We were looking for a place to stay in Sedona for our recent retreat, and came across the special on travelocity. After reading the reviews and with a little trepidation we booked our non refundable reservations. Our stay was great! Our checkin was easy, and Angel was a pleasure to work with. We didn't really feel pressured to buy any time shares and the room was wonderful! It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. The interior was a tad dated, but a great value. If you are looking for quiet and relaxing, great amenities, and centrally located...this is the perfect place! Thank you for our stay!

Beautiful hotel, quiet setting

My sister and I stayed for 4 nights for her birthday. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a nice patio that overlooked a pond and could see some of the beautiful Sedona red rocks in the distance.

Pros: Staff was very nice and the restaurants were great!
Cons: the rooms were dingy and over priced.
Location: sight seeing, good food, etc.
I went to Sedona for a wedding and found this resort online with good reviews. the resort was nice and clean but the rooms left a little to be desired. They were well equipped and clean but dingy. This is also a vacation chain of resorts, they give yo a 5 min shpeel on buying more vacation packages after you check in. They actually stopped us from leaving the lobby before we heard them out.

Disappointing room, tacky sales pitch at checkin

Pros: The lobby and grounds were pretty--that's it.
Cons: Rooms badly need updating, front desk personnel could be more efficient and welcoming, and concierge personnel need educating regarding the area.
Location: The location was nice--it was off of the main street through the "tourist section" of town, near a wide array of restaurants, shopping, and scenery.
After a significant wait at front desk for check-in (not entirely the fault of the hotel--difficult guests ahead of us), clerk did apologize for wait, completed the check-in, and then asked us to go to concierge desk for coupons. As we headed in that direction, another employee stopped us to ensure that we were indeed getting the coupons, although he would've been better placed behind the counter to speed up check-in! Turned out these "ever so important" coupons were for a mere 10% off at their restaurant, and what they really wanted us to do was sign up for a sales pitch for Diamond Int'l. properties via a future trip. Concierge told us we had up to a year to book the travel date if we took them up on their offer, but failed to mention (till AFTER we wasted time filling out a form) that we had to pay right away that day--an important detail to omit, no? Further, another concierge did a poor job of providing info about popular local attractions--wasn't well versed, plus gave us incorrect info that one of them supposedly wasn't even open, when it was! Guess they were more concerned about their sales pitches than being informative. Room was outdated and unattractive--I was very disappointed for the price and the reputation of this hotel. (Perhaps the higher priced rooms are nicer.) We ended up getting a room with a "lovely" view of the parking lot--probably because we paid a reasonable rate and didn't book directly with the hotel. No chance we'll ever stay there again.

Too much money for what you get

You are basically paying for the location. The room is pretty nice. It was clean, but it looked like a kid took a sharpie marker to the headboard and they seem to ignore the fact that there was a leak coming from the room above us. The outdoor jacuzzi tub was cool except it looked like spiders had taken over the entire back patio. There was a lot to do at the resort, but everything was extra. Mini golf - $3. You had to rent games to play on their xbox. Once you checked out, you couldn't access the pool anymore and had to pay for a day pass at $20 per person. For $200 I would expect a little more. There are 2 restaurants on site, neither of which do breakfast and are crazy expensive. You do have a kitchen in your room but while booking, there was no indication that we had anything of the sort. There was no description in the reservation to indicate what amenities we had in the room. Overall it was a good trip, but for the price, you don't get much and that is my biggest complaint.
