"There was a couple of issues but it is a very old building there was a broken light switch the toilet leaked and there was a parch of damp in one corner "

"The staff where fantastic bey friendly and helpful especially the young lady at reception who was extremely helpful thank you all for a wonderful experience throughout our stay we will be back in February "

"I highly recommend this hotel and always stay here when in Scarborough. I always pay extra for the sea view and it is well worth it. Breakfast is great and it is an easy walk down the High Street from the station. Buses are excellent all around the area, eg. Bridlington, Filey, Whitby, Robin Hoods ay, etc. I love the seafront walks. Thank you to all staff."

"Lovely location, however attention to detail not so good, lovely sea view, but dirty windows, dirty window sills, and dirty bathroom cabinet. No iron or ironing board available without having to go back to reception to ask for one, I didn't do this so not sure if they would provide one. But for a 4 star hotel I would expect that in the room. Very small bathroom and shower and if you are on the larger size the shower is an issue. "

"Efficient and friendly check in. Staff very courteous and helpful. Our room was a little tired and old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Bathroom facilities very good. Breakfast buffet food was not particularly hot. I suspect the food server heater was inadequate. Evening meal was excellent, again lovely staff and very reasonable prices. The pool and spa is really superb and well worth using. It's the biggest jacuzzi we've ever seen! Overall a very pleasurable stay. "
