Pool was not working, had no idea prior to booking, asked the front desk where the pool was located, they said it was down for the day, that’s how I found out hotel was understaffed, front desk was not very friendly. Only one bar tender working.

The front desk only had one key for the room at check in. Very odd. The room itself and the beds were good, but there was food left in the refrigerator from previous guests. There were food crumbs all over the carpeting. There was some sort of sticky residue on the desk. There was no nonskid in the tub/shower and the conditioner dispenser was empty.

We arrived at check-in time and were given our room keys promptly. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. When we got to the room, it was clear it hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were used drinking glasses on the nightstand, a dirty rag left in the shower, and the shower itself looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in quite some time. When I pulled back the comforter, there were visible stains on the sheets that appeared to be bodily fluids. I immediately notified the front desk, and they told us the room would be cleaned. We waited over an hour and a half, only to find that the same dirty room remained — the only change was that the used glasses were gone. We were then told we’d receive 25,000 points for the inconvenience, which we never got. Management eventually moved us to a different room, but it was just as dirty as the first one. Hair was all over the bathroom and floor. The only positive thing I can say is that the bed was somewhat comfortable, but that’s where the compliments end. This hotel is in desperate need of better management and housekeeping standards. We should have been refunded, not downgraded to another unclean room. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Terrible experience. The hotel is very old and it shows. Sticky floors and dirty carpets in rooms, dirty bathroom full of hair, tv didn’t work, safe and AC didn’t work either. We called to have the bathroom cleaned at least and were told they would send someone but they never did. This is not what you would expect from a DoubleTree hotel. Four star price for two star hotel. The only positives were how nice the staff were and the cookies.

We were not impressed with this hotel as it is a Hilton. The conditions were run down. Our room was not the cleanest and not supplied with soap and they were cheap with coffee. Our comforter was stained and gross. We will not be returning. It was certainly not worth the money we spend.

The front desk was so helpful and even got me in earlier so i could get some sleep after a very long flight. I jad donner at the restaurant and although they were exceptionally busy, i had fantastic service. The food was wonderful and so were my drinks. The pool was clean and warm. My room was perfectly clean. The front dest really went above and beyond to make my stay absolutely wonderful.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night on our way back home. As soon as we entered the property we were greeted by the nicest nice I have ever met at a hotel, named Matthew. Matthew worked the desk upon check in . We want to give major props to Matthew for his great positive attitude, knowledge of local activities . Thank you Matthew for being so kind and nice. You have such great energy and made us love being in Portland for the night. Thanks for the warm cookies as well . Message to Hilton hotel, give this man a raise , he deserves it !!!!!
