Historic Savannah “Lucky” Stay

20 min. Walk to River Street. Beautiful walks through Forsyth park located at the corner of this property. We were barely in the townhouse during our trip, but the accommodations and location cannot be beat!

Perfect location, furnishings, and experience

Very impressed with cleanliness, furnishings, and overall experience. Easy check in/out. The decor made it feel like we were staying in a classic Savannah apartment. The books on the coffee table and bookshelf were perfectly curated. We enjoyed the stay and will definitely look to book with Lucky Savannah in the future.

Stairway to heaven!!

This place is so beautiful! My mom, sister and I really enjoyed this place. It had everything we needed for our stay. There are quite a few stairs to get to the unit, but we really didn’t mind that at all for such a nice place. Super close to Forsyth park and all my favorite spots in Savannah!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time visiting savannah. We enjoyed the beautiful historic townhouse we had the honor to enjoy. It had many reclaimed pieces and had a touch of elegant history throughout the home. Staying here was the highlight of our trip. Can't wait to visit again. Would definitely recommend! It was clean, spacious, authentic, and lots of convenient furnishings. It had everything we needed. The team was very communicative and accommodating and the home was easy to find/easy to get into. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at perfectly located Gordon Chic. We seldom had to use our rental car. The furniture was comfortable and the air conditioning in all of the rooms was wonderful. The only problem was getting into the house. More specific instructions were needed and we were sent the wrong code for the lock box. However, the phone number provided did get us a person to come within 5-10 minutes to help us.

Great place

Location is wonderful, unit itself is very pleasant, two big bedrooms and one tiny one, be careful with all the stairs (can be tough tor people with knee issues), the front key lockbox can be a bit tricky to open and there is just one key. Well stocked with tea and snacks. Trash bins/dumpster behind the building. Monterey Square and the Mercer House are right there. Forsyth Park also super close. Walk on Jones St. It is worth it! Highly recommend Repeal 33 for dinner. Maybe woulf be good to provide 2 large clear umbrellas to use. Also some bathroom soap. Easy to get to River St. Overall this place was great...beautiful, safe, convenient!!

Incorrectly Advertised

Listed as a 3/2. The “third bedroom” is a small office at best with a small uncomfortable daybed. The reason we wanted a 3/2 was to put our 2 year old in a crib in his own room, where he sleeps best. (We already had a 5 month old in her own crib in our room)Standard size Crib (foldable) did not fit in this room and he had to sleep in the master joined closet to second bedroom. He heard the baby all night and kept us and mother in law up all night! Not a great experience. Be warned, it is a solid 2/2.5 bedroom.

Great location, beautiful home for a special feel of Savannah. Parking wasn’t a problem. Clear instructions for arrival and departure. Loved being so close to peaceful squares, less crowds. Enjoyed seeing hawks and owls, and especially enjoyed bringing our dog. The wood floors were so pretty and such a beautiful, spacious living area. We would recommend staying here. Cool view, but if you’re not a fan of stairs this would not be a good fit. Highly recommend.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is in a great location, about one block SW of Forsyth Park... you can’t beat it. Parking was easy every single time as well. As we knew from the description, there were a lot of stairs. This was not a problem for us. The house has been remodeled for the most part at various times. Now for the issues-The house was fairly clean- though there were a lot of dirty hand marks from over time on doors and trim. The upstairs HVAC is a major issue due to massive amounts of humidity. There are three mini splits that were put in and run constantly. Even on 72-73 degrees, it’s warm and sticky. Our clothes stored in the bedrooms and bed linens felt damp. We would wake up through the night hot and sweaty due to the humidity issue. I used to live a few blocks from this home, so I am familiar with old house issues, but this was a new one for me. We did bring it to the attention of the management company, but there’s not much that could be done really other than move us. I don’t think we were up for that. However, we would absolutely not pay to stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The original unit we booked through the company had issues preventing us from staying there and the staff offered to put us here instead. This was definitely a wonderful upgrade. Perfect location for walking anywhere- a quieter street. Had no issues with parking. The single bed is in a small nook, but worked well for our 9 year old. Beautifully decorated and comfortable beds. Appreciated the beach chairs and well-stocked kitchen.
