Once you arrive, forget the car, step out the front door and enjoy everything that downtown has to offer, Forsyth Park is just around the corner and it's less than a mile walk down to River Street. Spend your mornings with a cup of coffee out on the balcony overlooking Gordon Street. Once inside you will find the bright and inviting living room which features large sofa. Inside the well stocked kitchen, you'll find granite counter tops and stainless appliances along with all the cookery needed to create memorable meals during your stay. Enjoy some quality time around our large dining table with enough room for everyone. Down the hall you will find two bedrooms and bathrooms. In the master rest your head on the plush King bed after a busy day of exploring our fabulous city. The adjoining master bath has been updated with a spacious walk in shower. The cheery second bedroom is equipped with a full size bed and flat screen TV. In the hall bath, you will find a tub/shower combo. This unit also comes with those little extras that help to make your stay all the more comfortable including: Washer/Dryer, Iron and Ironing board, hair dryers, Keurig coffee maker and FREE WiFi. Traveling with pets? We would love to discuss accommodating your four legged family members, but ask that you please contact us before booking to obtain approval for your pets. The primary shower left a lot to be desired with rusted wire racks and old shower heads that didn't seem to work well and dirty wall tiles and grout with what looked like black spots on the sides that we didn't assess further. Also, we could not get the door to stay closed while taking a shower or using the toilet. Please stop just adding water to a soap dispenser to fill it up lol None of blinds in the primary are able to open making it seem more closed off instead of airy and open. We wish we could have seen the water feature outside behind the bed. On the other hand, nowhere had curtains to help keep the sun out. Half the kitchen lights did not work. The sofa reeked of some sort of bodily fluid that made our daughter almost want to add to it. The front porch was an amazing to sit for coffee in the morning. It was a nice gesture to have coffee pods provided as well. The host was very accommodating and responded to messages and texts within minutes. Also, parking in front was free from 5pm Friday through Sunday even though it was told to us wrong. The place was just ok, but the location is what made it nice with only a 2 minute walk to Forsyth.

STILL THE BEST

This is my third stay at this property, and it remains charming. Has that classic old feel with the advantage of plentiful amenities. It is close to everything - Clarys for breakfast, Forsythe Park, easy walk to Bull Street all the way to the river. I love Savannah and it is important to me to be in a property and location that promotes that. With the exception of very loud music one night, it was again another perfect stay. I highly recommend staying here.

Girls trip to Savannah

Property features and overall house were absolutely beautiful! Easy walking distance to all the fun Savannah sights and excellent restaurants. Main issue with home was cleanliness. Living room furniture was covered in pet hair and smelled like a wet dog. Pillows and sheets needed cleaned more thoroughly.

Nice but…

Very difficult to find parking. Could be cleaner. WiFi didn’t work at all. (I understand about the hurricane circumstances) but we should have been compensated for the fact that WiFi was not available. Host was very nice and responsive.

What a gem of a place. Huge first floor home with lots of accommodations. We enjoyed having ample space and being able to walk to Forsythe Park. On street parking was readily available. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a place so rich with history and culture and really immersed ourselves in the area during our stay.

Charming condo in perfect location

Great quiet location away from the hustle of the crowds. Condo has everything you need with comfy beds and plenty of space to spread out. Had no issues finding street parking. Condo is steps away from beautiful parks. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Savannah!

Lovely Apartment in quiet neighborhood

This apartment was just as described. It was spacious and clean. The master bathroom shower could have been cleaner, but other than that, it was clean upon arrival. Charming and located in a quiet area just off Monterrey Square made this the perfect home base for a walking tour visit of Savannah. The windows appear to be original and as such are thin, so expect to hear the neighbors through the walls and ceiling. But well worth the price.

We were very pleased with this property overall. The location is excellent. It's close to everthing, very walkable. The street is gorgeous. The home is very attractive and in good condition. The amenities were good, comfortable beds and furniture. We stayed from Thursday night thru Sunday and only paid $10.00 to park right out front. There were always spaces right outside the building. This was late May/Early June for reference. It was fairly bright despite being on a tree lined street with homes tight on either side. Our only complaint was noise. It's an antique so floors creak and on the second floor we could here the folks on the third floor walking around a bit. It's one door away from a busy side street and the traffic noise is fairly constant at night. It's a city so night time noise is to be expected but a rental closer to a square and further from a side street might cut down on the noise, but maybe not. The first floor unit which we also rented has the compressors for the AC right outside the second bedroom and they were loud. Noise was our only complaint. I'd give the property an 87 out of 100. I don't like Expedia's 5 star system as it forced me to provide a too low rating because a five star implies a kind of perfection that would have been misleading to people considering this property.

Our April 2024 Visit to Savannah

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment near Monterey Square and Forsyth Park in Savannah. We were there for a wedding near the park, and the unit was a five minute walk from there. It was very convenient. Check in was a breeze, the place was spotless, the beds were comfortable and it was great to have two full baths. The neighborhood was wonderful and the place had old world Savannah charm. We would definitely stay there again. Walter and Peggy

Great location

We enjoyed the apartment and location. Easy walking to lots of Savannah attractions. The place was quiet. We could have used regular hangers in the closet. Three wire hangers, and one cast off from a clothing store was a bit cheap. We had brought coffee from the NW with us, but had no regular coffee pot. (Keurig in unit). Parking was easy to find street side, and with our holiday/weekend stay, mostly free.

The VRBO was ascetically pleasing, layout was wonderful, master shower was wonderful, but there appeared to be a fowl odor in the master bedroom that smelled of sewage. The odor remained our entire stay. It made it difficult to sleep. Besides this it’s a wonderful place w great location.

Great location

Loved that it was right around the corner from Forsythe Park. It was very easy to walk straight down Bull St., through the pretty garden squares to get downtown. Walk was about 15 minutes. Street parking was abundant when we arrived and signs are clearly marked for street cleaning.
