"Friendly staff & more efficient air conditioning than we have found in multiple hotels in France this year was very welcome. As was the free welcome cocktail which came with the carpeted room. Less good, though, was the way the television turned itself on every time we came back into the room & put the key into the slot adjacent to the door, that our queen-size double bed was a bit saggy in the middle, the shower was another one of the doorless types, which meant that splash into the rest of the bathroom & beyond was inevitable & the street light immediately outside our window did not have a shade on it. This meant that, even though blackout curtains were in place, some light still showed around them, which was unfortunate. Also, the windows were only double-glazed (not triple or more), which meant that the sound of the radios from the parked cars below our window was unpleasantly audible in our room. Thank you."

"As an American in a foriegn country, there are challenges with languages and services. We're spoiled here in the US. Big gyms, ice machines on every floor, etc. FIrst person I encountered spoke English well, room was made up every day and overall stay was enjoyable. "Excellent Hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself has a quirky layout , as it’s in a very large old mansion house, all of which adds to its charm! The hotel is well kept and is a very clean , well run and well maintained and is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the river. (5-10 mins) . There are a lot of bars and restaurants with variable opening times! There’s parking available in front of the hotel, which is private and convenient. There’s also an excellent restaurant. The room we had was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room size was very good, we were also fortunate enough to have a small terrace outside of our balcony doors. The shower was big and the amenities were great. There’s also a fridge in the room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast offered was relatively limited but was fresh and tasty. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again."
