"I have never been to a hotel with staff this wonderful. The views are idealic. The restaurant on site was excellent and a good value. We felt at home very quickly. The hotel only has 10 total rooms. We were able to chop it up and meet other guests. A+. Staff always cheerful and helpful! I only have one complaint that is the same at every other hotel I have stayed at around Lake Atitlan. That complaint is the dogs! They are barking all night and here is a disco which can get rather loud. The hotel actually has ear plugs laid out for guests when they checkin. "

"Quaint hotel a block from the Central Park, built on a steep hill, with an in credible view of the city! Lots of stairs. Room was clean. Only problem was that the water did not drain out of the shower. Staff were pleasant. Quetzaltenango or otherwise known as Xela is a lovely town, marimbas being played on the plaza, friendly people, amazing food! Try the garnachas sold by the street venders- finger licking good! The bread at the panaderías is outstanding!"
