The man and young lady at the front desk were pleasant and professional when I checked in.
Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was quite unpleasant. The room and building seems quite run down. The entire place (hallway and room smelled of a strong, unpleasant odor of cleaning solution, the bathroom smelled strongly of urine, and the bathroom sink was backed up (drained very slowly) and unclean (with hair sticking to the walls of the sink).
There was a dark and unsightly view out the windows, because about one feet in front of the windows was a chain link fence with trash strewn against the fence, scraggly dusty bushes, and an asphalt parking lot beyond (and at night, someone in the parking lot, was hanging out against the fence talking to himself, and making loud, weird, crazy sounds). The walls are thin, so the guy upstairs who stayed up all night on the phone and dropped stuff on the bare laminate floors, made for a night of little sleep.
There was a power outage in the area for a few hours, so the room went entirely dark, but no one bothered to check, to see if I was ok. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve a mini bicycle light from my car to dimly illuminate the room. During this time, there was no heat or ventilation in the room, and the food stored in the fridge was not cooled. ...And the security door leading into the building was propped open.
