I travel every other week for work and stay at Courtyards. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at any hotel let alone a courtyard by Marriott. I was traveling all day and checked in and just wanted to take a shower, the shower wouldn’t get hot, I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance man and he said it was all fixed and I took his word for it. I went to my dinner meeting and came back ready to shower and sleep. The shower was not fixed at all and the shower itself was disgusting. I took a cold shower and went to bed just to be ripped out of my sleep by the loudest fire alarm I’ve ever heard that kept going off periodically throughout the night/early morning. I missed my first meeting this morning because I over slept, I had to call the front desk for a later check out and Victor (I think was his name) sounded pretty annoyed with me for the request. For someone who stays at Courtyards numerous times a month and whose family is a Bonvoy Platinum member, I was treated horribly. I am going to give Hilton’s a try for myself as well as my whole company from now on. Should also mention there was no coffee in the morning on top of the sleepless night. I was room 166 so maybe they should tell the maintenance guy to go do his job and not lie to the paying customer. Note I was also told twice that a manager would reach out to me to handle a reimbursement but that never happened. Do not stay here.
