The hotel is in a great location. The general common areas are cute and beachy. The room is basic with an updated bathroom and is quite sufficient. However, as an older property this must have once had wood floors now covered in Carpet and the noise from the floor above kept us up all night. Every time the guests stepped on the floor ,it sounded like elephants walking. And those guests were up all night long which resulted in a very noisy and unrestful night for us 😞. We did ask the front desk when we checked in for a top floor just as a general rule and he didn’t honor or reply to our request and kept us in whatever room had been assigned. He didn’t happen to mention if there were top floor rooms available or not.

A nice, spacious, and clean hotel. Parking is included and is conveniently located underground. Staff are nice and helpful. San Clemente is lovely, quiet and very family-friendly. Only negative review would be that the beds are a little too firm for our liking, but comfortable enough for a good night's rest. Faucet in our washroom was only letting out hot water for some reason. Otherwise, a great stay and would recommend!

More of a freeway hotel then beach hotel

The photos don’t really tell the story of how close this hotel is to the freeway and how it ultimately just feels like a cheap hotel, not one you choose if your goal is relaxation. Our “ocean view room” had a balcony that was 80% freeway view (or maybe freeway-front, considering it was literally right next to us). The pool and hot tub felt pointless and unrelaxing since the freeway was pretty much right over you if you were out there. Ultimately it’s my own fault for not paying closer attention to the location, but don’t make my same mistake.

This place was the best hotel.We've stayed at while in San Clemente.Unfortunately the hot tub was unavailable and the pool was not heeded so it was too cold to swimming.

San Clemente Getaway

The rooms closest to the freeway are loud and the walls seem thin. We had a guest wake us up at 3am due to loud taking and it took the front desk 3 calls to finally get them to quiet down. Ask for the rooms on the ocean side and your stay will be great. It is very close to a lot of restaurants

Just amazing staff throughout my visit. So accommodating and helpful!!! I gave a few 4 stars only because the elevator was broken but fix by the next day and their EV chargers were broken. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Price was great too for the location and comfort of the hotel.
