Château Ormes de Pez
"Our stay at the Chateau was wonderful. We were warmly greeted, given a tour and as hungry travelers in on a Sunday afternoon, given a beautiful cheese plate with warm bread and wine to enjoy in the garden. The chateau itself is beautiful, the grounds are sprawling, surrounded by vineyards, with huge ..."

Hôtel de Margaux
"The property advertising is very misleading. Where was the pool? Where was the onsite catering aside from breakfast? The accomodation was okay, if very isolated. No daytime cafes, just a couple of restaurants that only open for lunch, sometimes dinner. The fridge in my room didn’t work, so I couldn’t ..."

Château Laffitte Carcasset
"We stayed here for 4 nights and would have been happy to stay longer—-I miss it already! The room was spacious and well appointed and the air conditioning was spectacular in the August heat. The pool area was beautiful and the pool itself was warm and well kept. There are several great restaurants (Le Julien, La Maison D’estournel, Bistro Des Vignes) within a short drive (5-15 minutes) but note that you will need a car to get to any of them. It is also a great jumping off point to the wineries of the Medoc region. We loved the serenity of the hotel and the feeling of privacy. Just a note that the shower is somewhat “open concept”. This will be fine for couples but may be awkward for others travelling together. We will certainly return."
