Book a hotel near Royal Birkdale Golf Club, Liverpool

"We wanted to stay at The Vincent Hotel for a while so chose to spend the night for our anniversary. We had a warm welcome from reception. Our room was lovely, clean and quite modern. We were at the front of the hotel overlooking Lord Street. Not long after checking in we had a knock on the door and were given 2 glasses of fizz for our anniversary which was nice. In the evening we ate in the hotel restaurant. As a guest we had a 15% discount. The service was great and the food was tasty. We popped to the bar for a drink before heading back to our room. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi signal was a bit hit and miss. The shower was powerful but it was over a small bath with high sides that you need to climb over. There is a grab rail and step but you need to be careful. There was a great selection of fresh food at breakfast. You can choose a full English if you want. There was also cereal, breads, pastries and fruits or you can choose items from the breakfast menu. We parked in an NCP car park at Southport Promenade which was about a 4 minute walk away. It was £4.95 for 24 hours when reserved on their app. We would definitely love to stay at The Vincent Hotel again. "

"I booked a sea view room. Stunning views over the Promenade. Look, it’s a very old hotel, so maintenance is needed constantly. Creaking floor boards and dated corridors. That comes with the territory. My room was superb, clean and bright. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast (12.50) if a walk in. Piping hot, good selection, spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, nice and quiet, very helpful reception staff."

"Did not receive instructions. Arrived and stood unable to get in. The number on the booking was not in service. Managed to find another number but did not take calls, text only. Property has character but stained carpets were offputting. Wifi did not extend to bedrooms. Cockroach found in utensil drawer was alarming and the rest of the stay was then very uncomfortable. "
