southport stay

lovely position of hotel very friendly staff unfortunately air conditioning not working so hot sleeping and my room had locked windows which i couldn’t open because it was next to a flat roof. They did give me a fan on the 2nd day. Breakfast good and plenty of choice Overall i think for the price really good value for money

Chicken Supreme

Every thing about this hotel was excellent,but one night I decided to eat in the restaurant. The meal I chose was chicken supreme. It was absolutely uneatable. The waiter asked me if I would like to change it, but I declined and didn’t even risk the sweets.

We have stayed in this hotel several times and always had an enjoyable experience. What a disappointment this visit was. At check in there were two people ahead of us complaining about lack of air conditioning and TVs not working. Surprise surprise, we got to our room and there was a fan but no working air con. It was a really hot weekend and unbearable with hardly any air coming in the room, leaving me feeling quite ill. It appeared the hotel is not being maintained and no maintenance available to fix it during our 4 day stay. We requested a dog friendly room 8weeks previously at the time of booking but received a message just the day before saying no dog friendly rooms available-thankfully our dog sitter had availability at short notice. This experience has left us feeling very disappointed.

We were staying in the penthouse, an amazing room. However had to turn off the drinks cooler as it was very noisy intermittently. Was very disappointed after showering that the bathroom flooded, blocked drain i assume, had to use all towels to mop floor was sorted by following evening. Was also disappointed not to have water replenished for 2nd night. Would have expected this for the Penthouse considering the cost. Advanced warning should have been given for ground works next door- ruedly awakened at 8:15 building was shuddering ☹️
