The neighborhood seemed unsafe and the room smelt bad. The owner was difficult to communicate with and was hostile. It was so unpleasant to stay there so I had to book another hotel.

Very clean and convenient place

What a great place! Quiet, very clean and conveniently located not far from the Vatican. We never heard anybody else around. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. Massimo (the manager/owner) is great as well. There are plenty of buses at the doorstep to take you to the touristic attractions in Rome and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Vatican Museums. The area is very quiet in the evening and there are lots of shops around open until late. I would definitely stay there again.

Consider somewhere else

This place really let me down. I want to give them a good review but in hindsight I cannot. First off it says they offer shuttle service to the airport. It's a driver they call and you pay them cash, no big deal, but our flight arrived at 1:30 from the USA. The driver was told to be there at 1:30 even though we had to go through customs and all the other stuff. When we finally made it the driver was angry at us because he had to wait 2 hours. We over compensated even though this should not have fallen on us. If that was all I would've still given this place a great review, despite the very mediocre breakfast that was provided. The man who runs the place was very kind and accommodating, but when we checked out I received and email the next day saying he would have to charge us 100 euros for damages to the room, without a specific explanation. I called him on this and said there was damage to the wall next to the bathroom previous to our stay, and if he could clarify what he was accusing us of. Not to mention, we always exchanged emails in English, but this time he sent it in Italian. I felt this was very shady. I emailed him again, trying to give him the benefit that he made a simple mistake, but again zero response, despite his previous prompt responses. This left a sour taste in my mouth. Besides being a nice neighborhood with a nice cafe and walking distance of the Vatican, it's better to find something closer to central Rome, ubers got expensive.

Good location about a mile near Vatican City

Overall a good stay. Breakfast is just a piece a bread and toast with jelly, plus coffee or juice. Old fashioned key entry system, had to carry 4 BIG keys around.Very small area for the rooms, can hear other rooms and they can hear you as well. Stayed for 3 nights, and was out of shampoo and soap on the 2nd day, no refills. But location is very good.

Great customer service goes a long way. So does cleanliness, great design and proximity. :-) thats why Michelangelo Vatican rooms gets our two thumbs up. Five stars all the way!

Modern, clean, friendly B&B

Clean, modern B&B about 10 mins walk from Vatican City. Once in your room you would not know it was not a hotel. The friendly guy meets you with keys and provides continental breakfast (included) in the morning. Lovely modern ensure bathroom. Excellent value for money.

Very good place to stay and 1km from Vatican.

Very nice B&B which was well maintained and clean. Massimo was excellent owner with knowledgeable info of Rome. Safe area too and everything was within walking distance if you are on foot. Bus stop outside and Metro stop 6 mins. Easy! Breakfast we had on the 1st morning but gave it a miss on the other 3 mornings as it was not too good. The juice was bottled pear or peach,(prefer orange) sweet croissant with jam, 1 bun between 2 people and tea or coffee,(Nothing wrong with it, it just didn't suit us. Fresh towels and clean toilet and shower, but the shower would be my only complaint as it was a really poor water flow. Also there was a safe but no key. I would still go back as everything else was great and value for money. There are a few cafes and restaurants which are very reasonable so no need to spend a fortune on anything. We arrived late and checked out late but this didn't cause Massimo problems, he was very good

Nice clean apartment.

The apartment with balcony is good. We stayed for 4 nights and had a pleasant stay. If you want to be close to all the sights this might not be your first choice. The apartment is 1.5 kilometre from the Vatican. We used the buses and Metro a lot as we found this the best way to see the sights. The buses leave from the terminus 5 minute walk from the apartment. Turn left from the apartment and walk straight along the road where you can get bus numbers 23/30/ and 70 which will take you to most of the sights. The owner Massimo is there when you arrive and will tell you about the area. His English is ok and we understood him fine. The place is very clean but basic. We would recommend this apartment if you don't mind walking or using public transport.

Clean, spacious and comfortable

Michelangelo Vatican Rooms lived up to expectations. What you see in the photographs is exactly what you get. The rooms are large with comfortable, clean beds. The bathrooms are modern and spacious with toiletries and hairdryer. Unusually for Rome, we had tea-making facilities although I would recommend bringing your own teabags/coffee sachets. The owner gave us milk to store in our fridge but there's also a general fridge containing water, juice, milk. If you don't want to walk to the Vatican (around 15 mins), bus no 23 takes you there. Take no 70 or 30 for Piazza Navona, just over the river. Very good value for money and a relaxing, peaceful base after a hectic day sightseeing.

Great B&B

My husband and I loved this bed and breakfast. It was quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms were very clean and updated very nicely. Massimo was an amazing host, meeting us outside to ensure we found the location and ordered our cab to the airport the day we left.

My friend and I we have a great time in Rome this B&B Michelangelo Vatican rooms,is 15 minutes walks to The Vatican,also the same time to the hop on/hop off the buses that take you to the most important places. when you get out of the B&B to your left is a buses terminal #23 take you to the Vatican and your way back get # 23 and always mention that you going to Clodio bc the Gollameto street is hard for the transportation people to find .Rome is beautiful place very safe,Florence is amazing and Capri Island is a must visit.Maria

Good location and lovely airy rooms

Lovely couple that manage the B&B and are there whenever you need them, the rooms are in very good condition and very modern as they aren't very old at all, lovely showroom facility etc. The only one thing they could improve on is breakfast just have something a bit fresher and tastier. Handy only 20 minute walk to the Vatican and a taxi rank right outside. Cant say I can really fault it. It isn't your typical hotel configuration as It looks as they've converted a floor of an old office block but it's quiet and very nice.
