Great host and super location

Paulo was an amazing host. He definitely deserves the label super host. Our room was immaculate during our stay. We wanted to stay longer but no rooms were available. We are definitely booking here again. The location was perfect. The Metro and Train were nearby. Also so many good restaurants in the neighborhood. Much love to Paolo.

Excellent

Excellent. This place had a great price, comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom. The room was not huge, but consistent with the price. There are many restaurants in the area. The Ostiense Train Station is a few minutes walk. Angelina's cafe was excellent, both for coffee and drinks, and dinner.

Paolo's place is surprisingly clean. He and his staff are very nice and helpful. Easy access to the bus stop and train station, while it's not too close to tourist attractions. Breakfast at Angelina cafe is superb with italian local vibe. Highly recommended.

Great location for local restaurants off the beaten track. Close to a metro station, room was spotless. Owner took great pride in his rooms. 30min walk to the coliseum. Great for couples. And will definitely rebook in the future.

Horrible check in process

Check in process was horrible. Man is very stiff and rude. This is an apartment in a building. The person at desk of building doesnt speak English. Apparantly, not sure if this is common in Rome, but per his instructions, i have to pick up keys at nearby cafe. I would not recommend anyone to this place.

La ubicación era buena a 10 minutos del metro y la estación de trenes. El cuarto verde muy pequeño y el rojo de buen tamaño. Un día encontramos una cucaracha pequeña y pedimos que fumigaran. No nos dio shampoo ni jabón y tuvimos que comprar.

We had an wonderful time staying at Paolo's b&b. This was our first trip out of North America and he was extremely helpful and patient with us. He was very helpful with directions and recommending local services. The breakfast everyday was a coffee (cappuccino, espresso, café americano) and a great quality croissant (a variety of choices for fillings) from local cafes. It was delicious and we will miss it. Less than a ten minute walk to the nearest metro and only minutes away from a bus stop. Little mini marts, laundromat, and pharmacy were also nearby. Very clean and staff came in daily to organize our belongings and remove trash. Paolo was a wonderful host. Very kind, direct, and encouraging when we tried practicing our Italian. We highly recommend using his b&b for your next trip to Rome.

So-so

After reading many positive opinions, the stay was little bit disappointing. It turned out that our room was close to the entrance to BB and the reception desk, where the host used to sit, was less than one meter from our doors - forget about privacy. The other rooms seemed to be better, as were located deeper inside the BB. Other drawbacks: host lends you the shampoo (it is not in the room), slightly complicated check-in (receipt MANY keys in the restaurant nearby), poor breakfast - just one croissant. Despite the above, there were many good things indeed. The BB was very well located, many restaurants, shops, and metro station nearby. Good working AC, and silence in the room. I can recommend only if you think about some place to sleep - leaving as early as possible in the morning, coming back in the evening.

Clean room, wonderful host, convenient location!

This place was fantastic! So incredibly clean, right above the best gelateria and pizzeria in Rome (according to our Roman friends and our tastebuds), wonderful and responsive host, close to the bus station, and quiet environment. Paolo greeted us upon our initial arrival and made us feel at home, gave us the rundown, and recommended restaurants/transportation. The cleaning service is absolutely impeccable. The water pressure in the shower was awesome, which doesn't sound like a big deal but it sucks when it's missing! We ate at Pizzeria Ostiense and Gelateria La Romana every night and had so much fun just watching the locals hang out in that area. We did end up walking a lot more than we had wanted to because this neighborhood is farther than we thought it would be (we could have used the metro but didn't) but we were very happy to be in a more local neighborhood instead of in a touristy area. Overall, it was a great stay and Paolo is a fantastic host! :D
