"While planning to explore River Murray Towns on my way back to Adelaide from Sydney, Echuca was an ideal place to start. Being in the main centre of the city bordered by the Murray and Campaspe Rivers, Campaspe Lodge was ideal. Being at the back of the Echuca Hotel, the staff pre-warned about music and chatter, but being mid week and in a room towards the river, this was not a problem. Parking was easy as I found a place on the street next to the hotel for my large van, which the staff assured me would be fine. The room was comfortable and spacious. well laid out with all the amenities you would expect in rural accommodation. Being in the centre of town, the area was quite vibrant and safe to walk around,"
