The check in process was ok. It took 2 people to do it and they did not seem to like each other. I think one of the ladies may have been being trained but there was some tension between them. We checked in and dropped our bags in the room. We left for several hours and when we returned we noticed the issues with the room. There was what appeared to be an area of splatter on the wall that resembled blood. I suppose it could have been ketchup or taco sauce however, the lamp shade was all caved in and it looked like there may have been a fight. So we went to the desk to let them know and were told that she could not come take care of it then, because she was alone but could have someone come later in the night to clean the wall. We told her it would be fine for the night because we were exhausted and just wanted to head to bed. In the morning we noticed the same blood like substance on the soap dispenser at the sink. It even had finger prints in it. We complained as we checked out and were told we would be refunded just to have hotel.com contact them. We did so and hotels.com was told that they were not willing to refund since they believe it to be ketchup. Either way the room was not cleaned after the last guest since there was still something on the wall and the dispenser. Its gross and we will not be back. Also, the homeless are sleeping on the grass by the pool. Right outside of our room. I wish there had been another option for them.
