Had a hard time opening the door with our key. Went to the front desk and she suggested turning the handle up after inserting the key and we still had a hard time opening the door. It was cold that night and perhaps that was part of the problem.

Front Desk check-in staff person was both friendly and helpful. He was excellent. The room smelled like smoke, even though it was "non-smoking". Also, the faucet on the sink in the room was a poorly designed model that took way too long to figure out how to shut - probably the dumbest design for a faucet valve that I've seen in my 53 years. What's wrong with simple twist valves on a sink? Also, a refrigerator is probably more useful in such a modest hotel room than a safe.

The front desk was abrupt and dismissive when contacted, 1st room had broken tv, hair and other unknowns in the bed linens... requested new room, dismissed and told nothing available to move me to till i said i see on the website availability.. then suddenly a cancellation... maintenance man was rude and let himself into the room when my daughter was present n i wasnt.. 2nd room tolet was filthy as were the walls, clear handprints and the ceiling had large water spots.. housekeeping did not leave proper amenities/towels etc and when i called front desk i was told i would have to come and get them if i wanted towels.. Random people knocking on our door in the middle of the night.

The entrance to the lobby was hidden which was odd. Staff reported that there had been computer issues which caused me to register for a second time. At first, I was given the wrong style room which was easily corrected. The room had vinyl wooden floors which is nice in a motel, but the lampshade was broken and leaning against the wall trying to disguise it. Just fix the lamp. Some suggestions on where to go to dinner or order food would have been appreciated. Wasn’t bad stay but not likely to return.
