Everything was clean. But besides the charge for the initial room from Expedia there was a $180.00 charge that I didn’t know when booking. Probably would not have booked if that had been disclosed at the beginning.

Key system does not work well. We had to get new keys made every day, sometimes more than once a day, because the key would stop working. When we asked the staff about it, we were told this was a known issue for some time. The bed was so lumpy that we both had sore backs after sleeping on it for several days. I've never had such an uncomfortable bed at a hotel. My biggest issue is that after check out & driving back home in Texas I saw that we were charged DOUBLE than what we were supposed to. When we called we were told that was a mistake, but were never given any explanation as to how it happened. The money charged over was meant to pay another bill, which is now late due to their mistake. We've stayed at this hotel before, but we never will again.

The breakfast was decent, but the same eggs and sausage every day. I stayed 7 days, no variation. It forced me to cook bacon in my room due to the boring eggs and sausage served everyday.

Rick was great on check-in. room was clean. When we asked for things towels and trash on our non-cleaning day and was accommodating. The troubling issue is the VERY OLD Card system that is used. We went through 10 cards to get in our room. My husband went down to get new card there were at least 5 people needed to have new ones. The poor front desk people said they were sorry but it was all in management’s hands. Truly a wonderful place to stay but this really dampens the stay of our Christmas Vacation. Please fix this problem so your staff is not embarrassed!

The staff was kind and considerate. Some of the most friendly people we’ve met. However, the door locks at the property didn’t work. This is a basic requirement for a hotel. Safety is that most important requirement for a hotel. I wouldn’t stay again for this reason.
