Lovely

As a frequent resort go-er, ARIZONA GRAND had THE best customer service!! Whether it was front rest, bartender, waitress, bellhop, or gift shop employee..all friendly, helpful and willing! Food was great, 10 pools plus the water park. My spa service was great. Everything was clean. My only recommendation for the resort would be to modern it up a bit in the spa locker rooms. Stuff definitely made our stay wonderful. Thomas is the bar was top notch, recommended for us to check out goldfield... What an experience! Chasefield (baseball) is also very cool.

Nice grounds, but rooms are VERY dated.

Beautiful grounds and a staff that is very accommodating. We had to switch rooms because our room smelled musty. Moved a few rooms down a little bit better but was greeted with a brown tinted bed cover. Something black on the curtains? Maybe dirt? Maybe poo? Dirty carpets. Like I said very very dated. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. Our bed sunk in. I called and asked if all the rooms were like this and they said yes.

The Oasis is just that...pictures.

Pros: The waterpark access
Cons: The facilities need to be inspected and updated.
Location: 8 mile drive to park drive for overlook view of Phoenix. No outstanding restaurants to speak of.
Marketing at its best. Quite the disappointment at this "resort". The lobby says it all. Nothing to it...service or otherwise, it set the stage of what to expect. Stayed in the Camelback building, C555, and as soon as I opened the door I was surprised at the accommodations. Drab. I am sure this goes for all. The layout of the room is bad and the furniture needs replaced (beyond the service life). Wallpaper pealing, door lock in need of repair, fridge door lock broke. The grounds are not properly maintained, mounds of fecal matter deposited everywhere (balconies, poolside, walkways). Obviously not cleaned regularly. The Oasis waterpark is very small. The staff are not given direction on how to provide customer service. The rules they have are backwards. They do not allow people in the lazy river unless they have an inner tube. They do not remove the inner tubes that are no longer in use, which becomes a hazard and annoyance because your constantly having to push them aside. They are also not properly taken care of as they are flat. My family arrived at opening and all the patrons had to rifle thru dozens in order to find any that were usable. I helped 5yr olds from tripping over them because there is no staff to help organize. The only time I saw staff helping was at closing. Lastly regarding the river it is only 4' deep. Regarding the wave pool there is no wave pool, very small waves. Another backward thing they do in it is they allow the tubes which mak

Great resort with waterslide

Wow! We really enjoyed our stay! I was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews but we found the resort to be very clean and updated. I did appreciate the heads up on the $50 per 24 hour period fee. I would recommend (if you are able to) that you request staying in the camelback suites. It's a great location to the main lobby as well as the waterslide.

Very nice resort

Arizona Grand was very nice. The facilities were great and the staff we met were very friendly. The room was nice but we were stuck right next to the freeway and had a light in the bar area of our suite that was going out and never got changed (flashed constantly). Also, on our 2nd day we went back to our room to change after a day of swimming, to find our room was just getting cleaned - at 4:30... a bit disappointed. Otherwise, the resort was really well appointed with great comforts!

Best hotel EVER!

This was the best hotel we have ever stayed a! Everyone was extremely nice and more than accommodating to anything we needed. The hotel is beyond gorgeous and is definitely a one of a kind oasis. When I go back to Arizona I will absolutely be staying here again!

Relaxing

I was here on business recently. The staff was extraordinarily considerate and the accommodations were outstanding. The lovely view from my suite provided a relaxing atmosphere. It truly felt more like a vacation.

Strange start leads to great stay

We arrived very late and found that our reservation had been misnamed, then our room wasn't fully cleaned and had a leaking faucet (not a good start!)...But, this is where everything gets better...The staff immediately apologized and resolved the issue, they found us a new room, more like an Italian villa style suite, the bell man made sure our room was up to our standard and gave us complimentary mini-bar service... The rest of our week at this property was flawless and wonderful! The Spa and staff were fantastic! Though overall a little dated, this resort is perfectly located and a good value.

Closed water park, high resort fee

Overall poor hotel, wouldn't recommend staying there. The water park was closed, and while that may have been advertised on the hotel website, it wasn't mentioned on trabelocity, which was where we booked our rooms. So that was the primary reason we booked there and it was casually mentioned by the front desk agent on check in. We were first time guests, the front desk agent didn't bother to explain the grounds, provide a hotel map (I had to ask) or any of the hotels restaurants/amenities. And while I understand most of their guests are group, we were not. So a simple orientation would have been nice. Resort fee was high and wasn't worth the value. Room was rundown, needs a facelift. We also had ants in our living room table for 2 days. overall very disappointed, there are plenty of other hotels in the area that would be the same rate for a better stay.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Shuttle to different places on the grounds friendly and fast.
Cons: longer hours for water park
Location: MIM Museum not to be missed
Great place to stay we did not get to use the water park or golf. Will go back again and take advantage of all it has to offer.
