First of all the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and always had a kind greeting. One lady working the front desk (with blond and dark hair drooping over her eyes) was the exception. She was stern and unapproachable. Given this is a beachfront hotel and appears to be a bit on the older side, it was an excellent place for the price involved. Very affordable and great beach access. Although they state they aren't handicap accessible, I probably didn't read the details appropriately. The beach access room I booked was actually two floors down from the parking lot, and no elevator. There was also no indoor latch or chain on the door. I would have felt a bit safer had one been present. Not that I felt unsafe, one just never can be too careful. I would stay here again, despite those things mentioned above. For the price, there are trade-offs. And the friendliness of the staff was superb.

The staff is very responsive and kind. The rooms are old and not soundproof, but we expected that when booking. Our goal was to find an affordable place directly on the beach for a mom/daughter trip. We were willing to sacrifice amenities. We only stayed 2 of our 4 nights due to a few issues that we didn’t expect when booking. 1.) The smell of pot outside was STRONG in the evening. As if people were smoking directly outside our room. 2.) The rooms were pretty dirty. The staff came back to clean the bathroom pretty quickly after I said something (there was body fluid on the floor/wall/baseboards), but it didn’t look like they cleaned anything. I wouldn’t dare go barefoot. 3.) Our room was on the first level and directly walked out onto the patio/common area. With curtains open, everyone could see directly into our room. We wanted a room with a beach view, but couldn’t open our curtains bc people were always on the other side of our window hanging out. Our chairs were moved around a lot too, as if people were sitting right outside our room on our chairs throughout the day/night. It made me really uncomfortable since I was traveling alone with my small child. Unless you get a room with a balcony and NOT on the side with the common area, don’t plan on opening your curtains to enjoy any views unless you are okay with people seeing directly into your room. 4.) The a/c unit is very loud, which can be a good thing since the rooms aren’t soundproof. But also musty.

Beach is close with several access points. Hotel staff friendly and accommodating. Stayed 1 night for 27th Anniversary. Had a beautiful beachfront view. I recommend renting with kitchen. Nice, Big, deep 8’ pool. For the Nit Pickers: Room 432, was updated but still shows signs of age with slow toilet flush. Floor was sandy and fitted sheet did not fit. Freezer needs defrosting. For the IDC’s: Good cheap place to rest your head with beautiful views. Recommendation: offer later checkout. Other than that 5*

We arrived around 8pm, tired from the 10 hour drive, and were greated by one of the nicest staff members. Im handicapped, and he noticed by the way i walked into the lobby, that the room I booked was not going to work. He fixed the situation and put us in the perfect room. It was very clean and comfortable! Clean towels appeared every day almost magically and our bed was made perfect for a restful night's sleep. We looking forward to staying there again!

When I and my wife checked in, our room was very substandard. We checked into another room, the curtains wouldn't close. After the third room, we just settled. The manager, John, was the best. He, obviously, was alone, dealing with several issues by himself. Our cable was intermittent, at best (2k on a supposedly 6k network). It just was not a good experience. However, the location on the beach was world class. The maintenance personnel were, also, very acquiescent. Anytime a request was made, they, almost beat me to my room.

This was a great place . Things have gone downhill drastically . I was charged for three. nights of resort fees because I had booked my room through an out side company . I asked for new batteries for the Televison remote and I had to wait for 90 minutes before the maintenance man replaced them. The floors were dirty and also I found three Water bugs in our room . We will not go back there!

My room was generic & basic. I thought the place said remodeled but my room looked like it hadn't had updates in 20 years. The curtains were so old they had holes in them. The thermostat said error & you could not adjust the temperature. I had no wash clothes in my room. I had to run down a maid to get anything i needed

The room smelt of fish to find out it was something that appeared to have been left to liquify in the trash can. The housekeep placed the bag over it, it smelt throughout the entire room. We had to go buy detergent, windex, paper towels, air freshers, febreze, and clean the window and fill the trash cans with dawn and scolding hot water. We placed them outside where they still were when we left! The place is super outdated. The towel barely flushed and it pinched my finger! The bathtub has rust around it! The room was TERRIBLE! The entire building needed paint and cleaned! Location was the GREAT! I would spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!
