The last at front desk even showed where my son could park his car on property my stairs cuz they only provide 1 car pass. Very friendly and efficient! For just being a weekend stay!

The receptionist was very rude and disrespectful. She had a very nasty attitude on the phone and in person. The facility looked like it hadn’t been cleaned but picked up. Definitely not suitable for children.

I’ve stayed at the simple life in the past and generally don’t have issues. It’s in a nice section of ocean city and the price is good. On my most recent visit, however, there were a couple of problems. First, checking in is now combined with the flamingo at their service desk. Not a huge deal, but it did turn a two minute check in into a 20 minute process. After checking in, my husband and I went to our room. The smoke detector wouldn’t stop chirping due to a dead battery. We walked back to the flamingo (they no longer have phones to front desk in the rooms) and let them know and asked for someone to please come replace the battery. The woman said someone would be right up. I fell asleep and two hours later my husband had to find the number and call to ask if someone was going to come replace the battery. They said no, that there are 40 people there and only two employees. He told the employee that this was unacceptable, we were told someone would be right up and we weren’t paying to be slowly driven crazy by their smoke alarm (simply unplugging it was not an option, I had already tried). The guy argued for a minute and then came up and tried handing some batteries to my husband, who couldn’t figure out how the smoke detector opened. The guy also couldn’t figure it out and disappeared for 15 minutes before bringing the smoke detector back in working order. All in all it could have been worse but didn’t appreciate being lied to and there are better places for the same $$

Fair review

The staff were friendly and helpful. The ceiling of the room had a brown substance sprayed across it, the moldings were dusty, and there was a musty smell coming from the air conditioner. The balcony had the most lovely view of the ocean, however the balcony above was heavily leaking a/c and it appeared unstable/not safe. My biggest feedback was the broken deadbolt. I stacked my cans in front of the door at night. If the brown spew across the ceiling was not there, I may have felt more comfortable. The outdoor pool was lovely.

There was no door lock on the interior of the room, it felt so unsafe. Sheets were stained and just overall gross and not clean feeling. Not very lit up so it felt scetchy after dark.

This room should never have been rented. There was ash all over the toilet, smoke detector not functional, no wifi, no tv remote, mold on the ceiling.

My room was very put dated. That was the least of the broblem . There was wet stains that were reddish orange on the sofa sleeper sheets . The beds were dirty had crumvs n legit a maroon wig hairs . Stains on the bedding

Pretty nice.

Nice room and in pretty good shape except for the balcony door (wasn't sealing properly until I adjusted) and the ripped screen to the balcony - left in a pesky fly. Comfortable bed & small but nice bathroom. All-in-all a good value for the location.
