As a mother daughter needing a one night stay, my main concern was safety & cleanliness, this hotel met both. It is difficult to find a moderate priced hotel & the Signature was a good choice. No frills, a little noisey since we were on the street side, beds were very firm, however; I would stay here again. Lots of food choices nearby as well as a 7-11 couple of doors down. Desk clerk friendly & helpful.

Room was clean. Neighborhood is not bad at all. The parking is super tight. With the gate and codes it's a lil hectic at 1st. Was really quiet once you get inside. It's a good spot for the price.

Front Desk was never actually at the front when needed. Phones in the room only get dial tone when trying to contact front desk and numbers provided are unavailable google numbers. There are no microwaves in the rooms also so you’ll be forced to constantly rebuy food due to being unable to reheat anything. Only thing that was good was the bed was soft and it’s located on a direct route to all forms of public transportation.
Everyday I tired to contact front desk no one was there & those numbers are not operational.
Everytime I left the “Do not disturb” sign hanging on the door when I left — upon return the sign will always be on the ground.

This is a wonderfully refurbished motel in a part of Oakland that's a little bit rough around the edges but is safe and close to Piedmont Avenue (which is great). The owners have redone the hotel in cheerful colors and spotless rooms. Drew, the manager, is great as is the entire staff. I will definitely go back if I need a place in Oakland in the future.

It was cold the lights didn’t work throughout the unit . The floor was a bit dirty alongside the walls. But I’d say I felt locked in and safe because the property was behind a Minton fence requiring a code. Parking is super tight inside but it’s better than $50 per night to park or more like Marriott’s and Hilton. Good for the smokers who likes the convenience of balconies and outside hallways
