Stylish but simple with some frills. Free coffee and snacks. Mod decor, cute and trendy. Bar in lounge/lobby area. Rooms are clean, quiet, and functional. Short walking distance to Fox and Paramount concert venues, restaurants and shops. Surrounding area is rough, but safe in daylight and with crowds letting out of concerts at night. Staff are polite and friendly.

Great overnight location when going out in Oakland…great staff super nice easily 200$ a night room-my only beef was the lighting kept turning off after 10 minutes which is nice when yr going to bed but not when your just hanging out. Also they need an icemaker-i might have missed it. Would do again!

There honestly was just one staff memeber that ruined our experience here. The night security officer was totally uninterested in doing his job. I was in constant worry about my vehicles safety. I am native to Oakland, so i understand the vehicle break in and theft history. I have lived in Arizona for the past 7 years, but im always cautious when I visit due to this issue. So when i found a hotel that claimed to have a locked area PATROLLED by security 24/7 i expected to have just that. Instead, we got someone who was not interested in doing his job and instead complained about management and flat out refused to be present and alert. The manager we spoke with, while she was very sweet and understanding, she comped our parking but honestly, that could never compare to the out of pocket costs we would incur from damage or theft to our rental vehicle. Im am truly thankful we were lucky enough to not have to cross that bridge. But that was due to us having to pretty much keep and eye on our own vehicle which took away from the overall experience and trip.

Walkable and central, but the hotel seems to have had a lot of partygoing guests who have caused a lot of damage already since the hotel opened. Lots of weird dents and scuffs on the walls, etc. But clean and it didn't detract from our stay. Wish there was a closet, or at least luggage stands- and hate walk in showers, with they had suites with tubs. But loved that extra towels were available to grab by self-service.

Hip hotel for downtown biz trip
Great location within walking distance of BART, lake, restaurants, and coffee. Spacious lobby for natural light working or relaxing. Cozy and efficient room space with optional daily room service (good for greener practices!). Had to pull room door closed behind me to ensure it closed fully.

Rooms are very clean and renovated. The hotel its self is dingy and they really have very little food, but the doorman was a dream.
