A very good Hotel

Pros: The location was great. we had a wonderful view of the fireworks over the falls in the evening.
Cons: I was under the impression that a complimentary breakfast was included in the cost of the stay. Unfortunately they charged $10 to park my car
Location: We signed up for a tour and this was the pick-up location. I highly recommend taking a tour rather than trying to see everything "a la carte".
Stayed one evening and had a good experience. It's close to everything!

Beautiful view of Canada.

The room had a BEAUTIFUL view of Canada and mist from the falls. It was a 2 minute walk to the casino and a handful of restaurant. Great location to leave the car in the parking lot and walk. But the hotel has seen better days. There were lots of dings, chipped paint and lightly peeling wallpaper. There was some updating but not a lot of attention to detail. There was also evidence of mold in the bathroom.

Decent view

Room clean, could use updates. Worst part was the bugs in the hall every night. Dozens of moth looking things everywhere, have to enter room carefully to keep them out.

overcharged my visa-mediocre hotel

I am a "priority club" member and typically choose my hotel stays based on this… After a stay at Holiday Inn Niagara Falls, NY- I will NO LONGER be staying at ANY IHG hotels. Check In took an hour where they had to switch our rooms several times because the staff couldn't figure out which rooms joined. Meanwhile they stated all these weird charges were popping up on their screens; they assured us it was all fixed. Their "full service" breakfast at the restaurant is no different than the free breakfast at an Express location- only worse and you have to pay for it!! Food was all cold, stale and old. I've had free/better at an Express. Days later we noticed all these strange charges and credits on our cards (2 couples/2 rooms)- staff claimed it was fixed and to wait longer (5 business days). Days later still not right, regional said they had to contact the hotel and have them fix it- the hotel never contacted us back as they were suppose to and charges still remained not ok. I called again and regional referred me back to the hotel as no one but the hotel can do anything for billing. 1 of the credit cards was still showing OVER charged. Staff went over all the charges and credits claiming it was all sorted out and I was wrong. Then stated we owed them MORE money bc we were over-credited. The staff continued to view the charges/credits backwards and calling me a liar- bank statements don't lie! Then said one card was overcharged and tried to "fix" it; the card was charged again-not credited. In total over $1600 to one card for 1 night stay in a mediocre hotel. Regional is sticking by the side of the hotel as they say its fixed and to contact the bank (who laughed and said wow… this is a mess and really bad. Side note: in this recently renovated hotel our 2 rooms each had different flooring, different a/c units and leaking showers.

This hotel wa clean and everyone very friendly.

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
This hotel was probably built in the 60's. It is excellently maintained and the only evidence of its age is the older elevators. The rooms ahd laminate floors insted of an ugly carpet. I found this to be outstanding and very comfortable. I can't speak highly enough about the friendliness of the staff. All in all a very pleasant stay. If I decide to visit the falls again this will be where I stay again.
