Situated in Moyard, Garraunbaun lodge is nestled in a green oasis with partial lake views of Garraunbaun lake on one side and the Ballinakill Bay on the other. The four-bed lodge forms part of an estate that was built by Architect Charles Palmer Archer in the mid-1850s and is set on circa five acres; of which over one acre is formal gardens including a walled garden installed when the estate was divided in 1968. Rhododendron, hydrangea and climbing roses feature strongly throughout, as do native plants . The gardens are very well cared for.
