"The room was not bad. Had a very relaxing, comfortable stay. When I checked in I had already been charged two nights for the room, so the front desk needed me to pay the pet fee of 20 per night, as well as a 100 dollar deposit...I told the front desk clerk that I wanted to pay the deposit in cash because I needed the deposit returned when I checked out, rather than having to wait for the deposit to be returned to my account. I only had 70 cash, so they took my 70 cash and charged my card for the remaining 30 of the 100 total deposit. I needed the cash to be returned upon checkout because I needed it for gas to get to my next destination, where I planned to put in some hours work as a professional shop and deliver private contractor for Shipt. When I was checking out, the front desk clerk said that the pet fee of 40 dollars had not been paid. I looked into my account transactions and it showed that Wingate had charged my card for the 30 towards deposit on the date and time that I checked in. I had no idea that they hadn't charged my card for the 40 pet fee, because I always freeze my card after every transaction. The front desk staff were very rude to me about checking out and actually were accusing me of trying to not pay the pet fee.... ultimately they were so rude and even when I got my bank to explain to them that they needed to process the payment since it was released and pending...Wingate still has my 70 cash, the 40 dollars that is pending and the 30 that was charg"

"The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We extended our stay a few times, and they made it seamless. Even when my daughter had my credit card while she was out with her boyfriend, but I needed to pay for our next extension, Jesse, the manager, was patient with me. The new furniture is nice. The old bed was already comfortable, so I can imagine the new mattresses that they were replacing day I left will be even better. There was major renovation going on where they were changing out the furniture in several rooms. Even though there were several stacks of boxes on site, they were neatly staged and even the dumpster area for the old furniture and boxes was kept in order. The breakfast was very good. The dining area was always neat, clean, and well stocked. The waffle maker was so clean that my waffles were never stuck! Most places do not provide anymore this full breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, fresh OJ, coffee, muffins, pastries, cereal, fresh milk, and yogurt. It was delicious. Thank you, Jesse, and the rest of the Quality Inn staff for a comfortable, relaxing stay!"
