A luxurious weekend.

Birks hotel lives up to its reputation of opulence. Great customer service from the initial valet, bell service, all the way to the front desk. The room was spectacularly clean, the coffee and water well stocked and the view unprecedented. Even the turn down service was expceptional. If you want opulent luxury, stay here. Anything else is not up to par.

Overall Lovely! Great Location and Eating!

The room was really clean. The only thing we felt that wasn’t our entire stay was the terrace. There were a couple chicken bones on the roof of the terrace, just far enough out of reach to have to stare at anytime we sat out there. They seemed to have been there a very long time. We made light of it. The room was a little smaller than I expected with a smaller closet. Essentially not enough room in the closet to hang clothing for 2 people for the week, but manageable. I was disappointed for being a higher end hotel that they did not have a steamer. Most hotels that cost this much have ditched the old crappy iron and replaced with steamers, but I made due. Only other potential negative was the parking for larger vehicles. We were not aware prior but the KPMG building had plenty of parking and for only $25CA, so technically cheaper, just no valet service available. We had room service one night, and ate at the restaurant 3 times during our stay. Great food and wine. The evening menu, we told was limited, but really only had desserts, so we ended up getting DoorDash one night. A little mishap with the address in DoorDash, so be sure you pick the right physical address. One final thing is they don’t actually have a spa, it’s in-room massage. I was really misled on this from the website. We walked to an actual spa, RainSpa ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ Would stay again in a heartbeat. The location was perfect for everything. A 15-20 minute walk to all major destinations. Great shopping as well.

I loved my stay. The room was stunning. Staff were super kind and helpful. Beautiful city view. Amazing location. The only thing - the beds are oddly soft. Something to be aware of if soft mattresses don’t work for you.
