In a more run down section of Ocho Rios, but once you enter the compound everything changes for the better. Comfortable rooms (though need more outlets or some USB ports). Gorgeous views of the ocean from everywhere. Nice little restaurant and fun bar. Definitely glad we stayed here.

my goodness! what a great location! I went to Jamaica for a friend's wedding. I had myself and my children. we were blown away by the great views on this property. the restaurant is also breathtaking views, open air. lovely grounds to walk around on. we loved it! a couple of diddies: one, it's hot! and it took us a while to figure out how to work the ceiling fan, which is a necessity! two, the noise factor. this place is right at the tail end of the town center. it's not far enough, because you can hear EV-ERY-THING!!! there must be a club right across the way, because I didnt sleep, until they stopped. a nasty little negative. otherwise, the staff was great! check in and out was smooth. they helped grab a cab for me at one point. it's super close to all the fun attractions in Ocho Rios. highly recommended and I'm already planning on coming back. Thank Hibiscus Lodge!

We are ecstatic that you found us to be such a great location and that you were blown away by the great views. Indeed we are located in the heart of the town of Ocho Rios; which as you stated put us in close proximity to tourist attractions, shopping centers, restaurants and night life. As a result we sometimes get the noise from the night life in the town. We wanted to let you know we have filed several complaints with the city in an effort to get a noise ordinance into place. We are proactively working to resolve this issue and hope to very soon. We are elated that you highly recommend us and to hear that you have already planned on coming back. We truly can't wait to have you back with us! it was our greatest pleasure to have served you and we eagerly look forward to your return.

Pursuant to my reservation booking, I was given the option of a queen-sized bed or two (2) double beds. My room has three (3) single beds. My sleep was very uncomfortable as I have not slept in a single bed since I was a child. I am not pleased, as I made a specific selection based on the two options that were given.

I do remember this situation. We sincerely apologize for this experience. As per your reservation details, a request was made for 2 double beds. Please keep in mind that a double bed is smaller than a queen but larger than a twin single bed. Most likely the only room we had available with 2 double beds was a room that already had 3 double beds which you were placed in. I would suggest requesting a room with 2 queen beds on your next stay with us. We sincerely hope you will consider returning as we are eager to improve your experience with us!

Excellent restaurant: food & restaurant staff great. Overall excellent staff. Room was a huge disappointment. Their site said the property was renovated. Not evident in our room assignment. Not even the fridge was plugged in, safe had no instructions we had to call for help. No phone or wifi in our room. I would not return or recommend.

I was so pleased and impressed with this quaint hotel with beautiful views. I have stayed at many 5 star resorts and was not this happy with my stay. Started with excellent customer service all the way thru, clean beautiful grounds and good food. The best part so reasonable in price , whenever I visit Ocho Rios this is where I will stay. As a frequent visitor in Jamaica I highly recommend this hotel.

Warm, Quaint and Charming facility.

Pros: The hotel's restaurant features an oceanfront patio with spectacular views.Friendly, courteous and very helpful staff. Clean rooms. Very safe area. Breakfast is included with your stay.
Cons: Which my room had a blow dryer. However, learned that ocean view rooms do come with blow dryers.
Location: Near by you have Dunns River Falls, The Dolphin Cove and Mystic Mountain.

Pros: The location is central many places and things.
Cons: When you turn on the shower you have to search for the water; a better shower head would be helpful. The lobby could be enclosed with air conditioning
Location: It is a central location to all things on the north coast of the island. You can walk to the beach.
The hotel is comfortable with beautiful grounds and scenery at dining. The staff is pleasant, but some need more training in customer service.

Hibiscus is beautifully located overlooking the sea; it has a nice garden and a swimming pool; you can also swim in the sea below the property. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is an easy walk down into the town. We did not experience the excessive noise that one review noted (and were there on a week-end) While very clean, the hotel feels as if it has seen better days and could do with some renovations. The garden must once have been beautiful with a cascading water fall, now dry. A tennis court has evidently not been used in a very long time. But we enjoyed our stay: the meals were good and, as it is really the people that make a place, we were made to feel welcome.
