The only thing was the late check in time. 3 hours wait. Everything else was lovely and I had a really enjoyable vacation stay at the Riu in Jamaica. Food was really good.

The hotel was beautifully maintained. We appreciated the entertainment in the evenings but the production shows were very amateurish. The bands were very enjoyable and the beach party was our favorite night. The food and drinks were good and the Kulinarium French restaurant was very good with excellent ambiance but the Steak House and the Italian restaurant did not have a good environment. The beach is beautiful and the water sports were fun. All around, I would recommend the Hotel RIU Ocho Rios

A Memorable Stay at Riu Ocho Rios I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Riu Ocho Rios Hotel, thanks to its exceptional staff and engaging entertainment. Housekeeper Kerone kept our room immaculate, adding delightful touches with daily bed and curtain decorations. Front desk manager Shanika was professional and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met with warmth and efficiency. The entertainment team excelled in keeping guests engaged throughout the day with diverse activities and outstanding shows. A special mention goes to Fabian, whose energy and dance moves were truly captivating. While the dining experience offered authentic Jamaican dishes, the flavors lacked the traditional seasoning I anticipated. Additionally, only Tabasco sauce was available, and I would have preferred a Jamaican hot sauce option. However, server Fitzroy enhanced our meals with his attentive and personalized service, quickly learning our preferences and always greeting us by name. Overall, the outstanding staff at Riu Ocho Rios made our stay remarkable. Their dedication and hospitality ensure I will choose this hotel for future visits.

This was a great restore to stay at the only problem is the terrible techno music. They played by the adult pool all day over and over again same tape and again terrible music they should play Jamaican vibe music. This techno has nothing to do with Jamaica even the bartenders when asked if they could change, it said they wish they could cause they even said it was terrible. Other than that It was a great resort. And we used best Jamaican transport and they were amazing.

The food was to die for especially the Jamaican station during every dining time. Food was plentiful and you could pretty much find some thing to eat.

The staff at the RIU were amazing. The entertainment was fun and they always got people to engage we loved playing beach volleyball, bingo, and morning yoga. Food was always fresh and so many options to choose from. We loved the oxtail and the steakhouse restaurant was really good. They have five pools that are gorgeous and they were never overcrowded. Beach was cleaned every morning and there was always a chair available. I really loved this property and felt it was a relaxing trip. If you are looking for night life bar scene this may not be the resort though. It was definitely relaxing and family friendly.
