Imperial Hotel
"The hotel itself is charming and historically relevant. The desk staff were very welcoming and helpful with several requests - ordering a taxi, food delivery, private lounge access while waiting to check in. The included continental and sit-down hot breakfast service were a very nice addition. Restaurant staff were lovely. Regulating room temperatures took some experimenting, but that’s to be expected with an older building. Comfortable beds and updated bathrooms were appreciated, too. What could be improved: the doorman actually ignored my sister and elderly mother coming in with baggage. Once she said something on her second trip in, he did hold the door for my sister. I had to stay with the car since the city street is very busy and you can only double park to drop off. Public parking is the only option, several minutes walk with bags, and €15 per day - lesson learned that staying here would be easier without a car. I actually drove straight to the airport to return the car a day early and took a taxi back for the night. We were disappointed the spa was closed for repairs the week of our stay; we were only notified one day prior."
