"Les Canards is a delight. Genuine rustic charm but with decent accommodation. The showers had plenty of hot water and the two kitchens were well resourced plus two barbecues outside. We were a party of three generations - grandparents, parents and three girls aged 6-13. The main reason for booking this property was the private swimming pool which we used throughout the week.The outside spaces for eating are wonderful: between the two cottages in the morning and a large shaded area by the pool for evening meals. We didn't even use a third area by one of the barbeques.Because of the thick stone walls, the WiFi struggles as you move away from the router in the kitchen but the signal is good in the main kitchen and dining room.Local roads are devoid of traffic - I could cycle for an hour and only see four or five cars! There are two decent supermarkets in Couhé less than 15 minutes drive away."

"Well, the owner went to the 'best boulangerie in France' to buy croissant and pain au chocolate for me - as I was the only guest. What can I say? Delightful people, lovely breakfast and a nice hotel. Short but super stay in their hotel."
