The host was nice and friendly my air didn’t work but they moved me to a new room and due to me not getting any pool time I was allowed to get a late checkout and able to enter the pool a hour before the rest of the guess

Not happy at all with Hotels.com booking!

I accidently booked this hotel thinking it was in close proximity to where I was while I was traveling. After it was booked I tried to cancel it but I could not because it was the same day. That is frustrating and a complete waste of money. the fact that I was unable to cancel 2 minutes after booking it as it was a mistake will completely make me rethink using Hotels.com in the future.

While the room itself was as expected, this turned out to be the worst hotel experience of our lives. We are a family of five (three kids and a service animal) traveling cross-country, checking in close to 10 PM for a quick overnight before an early departure. Instead, we spent the night breathing acetone fumes. Around 11:15 PM, a strong, acidic nail salon smell flooded our room from next door, making my fiancé physically ill. The front desk confirmed a guest was “professionally” doing nails in their room with no ventilation. We were offered a room change, but with three kids finally asleep and a 5 AM alarm set, it wasn’t realistic. Towels under the door barely helped as the fumes lingered. At 12:30 AM, I spent 40 minutes on the phone with customer service, only to be told they could “pass a message” to the owner since this was a partnered hotel. The owner called me around 10 AM, hours after we had left with splitting migraines, promising a resolution and to call me back “in an hour or two.” It’s now been over 20 hours with no response. A “future stay credit” was also offered, but we’ll never return to Merrillville, making it useless. Between toxic fumes, yelling neighbors, zero real resolution, and being ignored by management, this was an absolutely miserable experience. Comfort should be embarrassed to have their name on this property.

Not again.

At first, I was asked for a deposit which was not mentioned when I booked it. Then we were given a room that was dirty and still occupied by another guest. So we were given a new room, with a shower that was clogged and had mold on the shower curtain. The hotel floors were dirty and halls smelled bad.

Definitely would not stay here again.

Cleanliness is bad. Service not the best. Never answered room service phone. Old apple was left behind couch along with a handwritten note attached to the tv from prior guest talking about how bad their stay was. Room service didn’t even bother to dispose of the handwritten evidence. Or didn’t even see it, which is worse.

We stayed for a few days for a softball tournament and it was good. It was a little outdated but it served our needs well. The only big complaint was that the parking lot had garbage just lying around.

Mid at best!

Booked because we had a family of 5. Couch mattress was extremely dirty where we had to ask for another mattress. Sooooooo dirty. The staff said we couldn’t get a mattress until the next day as the maintenance was gone for the day ( at check in time) We had to sleep 3 in a bed. The next day they replaced the mattress with another dirty mattress, I kid you not! Room was never vacuumed, couldn’t put bags on floor. Dirt all around the room. Regular mattress also dirty on sides, didn’t even address that issue since we knew it wouldn’t make a difference. Have a 3 because staff was friendly. Police surveillance parking lot all day and at night!
