Our stay started with disappointment but finished well. We drove about 4 hours for our visit and arrived approximately 1.5 hours ahead of check-in time. We asked if we could simply drop our bags in the room and were told it would be a $25 charge. This is a VERY poor business practice. Not only did it start the visit with a bad taste in our mouths, we also decided NOT to have lunch at the facility because of it...estimated loss of $60+ and an unhappy customer. I have no issue paying for something when I'm asking for extra effort or accommodation but to simply open a door for the room which was ready and waiting?....ridiculous!
After the initial disappointment, our stay was very nice. The staff was excellent in every aspect and accommodations were just as advertised and very relaxing. The carpeting in the room definitely needs replacement but our overall stay was very peaceful and accommodating. Also, the live music in the bar was a very nice touch and very much appreciated!
