"Staff was especially friendly and helpful. First time staying in this area and they were knowledgeable of the area, lakes, geographical interests, etc. The free bus shuttle was suggested as a way to see the upper area which we used. The Lodge is a very historical and scenic place to stay. Room was clean, parking was close-by, and they have reserved parking for guests. The lodge is not modern, built in 1924, so not a luxury room, but the original wood paneling, the fire place in lobby and the surrounding woods was great. The breakfast was served fresh and serving staff was great."
