Hotel needs routine maintenance. Wallpaper was separating from wall. Coffee stains where people have spilled down the wall. Carpets in the hallways were stained and in need of care. Housekeeping did a very good job in cleaning what was there, but the maintenance issues are clearly beyond their control. When we checked in, we were told that breakfast was included. When we went to breakfast the next morning we were charged $30. When I checked with the front desk, we were told that their colleague had made a mistake when she told us that we had breakfast included. Also, for a four star hotel, I would have expected someone to help us with our luggage. That didn't happen. In fact, there was a very steep stairway from the lobby to the elevator. Not a great experience.

We loved our stay at Sardinero Madrid! The location was near plenty of restaurants and is walking distance from the shopping at Gran Via. The hotel and rooms were decorated so tastefully. We had a balcony looking out to the fountain! Everything was very clean and comfortable. Our front desk - Gregori - made us feel so welcome. We would easily come back to stay here!

This hotel was nice, clean, and safe. The room was a little small but we weren’t in the room much so it didn’t matter. However there must have been some kind of construction going on on the floor above us because there was banging and loud noises at random times, day and night, we were not informed that there was construction when we checked in. As a note, the metro stop closest to this hotel is not accessible, it does not have any elevators or escalators. This was a minor inconvenience for us, but could be a bigger problem for others who can not use the stairs.

Beautiful building and property. A good buffet breakfast is available as well as an onsite bar and restaurant. Also lots of restaurants in the area. Location was perfect for walking to the main sites if you enjoy a good stroll through a beautiful city. Metro station also right near the hotel.

The hotel was well located in a Plaza with a metro stop on 3 lines. It was a 20 minute walk at most to all the main tourist locations. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by and a small convenience store across the road for snacks etc.

Hotel sardinero was a fabulous place to stay. Everyone was friendly, the location was perfect- very close to all the tourist attractions- walking distance and the surrounding area was a safe place to walk. The facilities were great. Would definitely stay again.
