LOUD Barking Dog

Our trip to Santa Fe was for a funeral. The room was fine, and the hotel was great. The major issue I had was a constantly barking dog next door to us. The dog barked starting before 7am, and constantly into the night. It interrupted my sleep every time, which was a lot. To make matters worse, the person that checked me in suggested that room for quietness - which did not pan out obviously. The other issue was the door closest to our room - Door C, did not work, so we have to navigate our way from other doors to get it, just a minor inconvenience.

Excellent stay we had. We had to leave a day earlier because of weather issues for our flights on next day. Ryan was v nice to say yes for refunding that night charge understanding our predicament. Obviously, this facility has upgraded things recently, but not 100%. Very clean but details unaccounted for. Also numerous pieces of pet feces in public access ways from non-conscientious pet owners.

Nice property. All entry doors did not allow use of key card due to broken system which made it inconvenient due to configuration of hotel and the cold weather. Property is dog friendly however the poop bag dispenser never had bags during our 4 day stay. That might account for about dog waste in the yard.

Room was in a dark corner of the building. Nothing on the walls of the room, the "suite" offered only a desk chair, a sitting chair and the bed. Trash on the lawn and walkways in the courtyard. The building more resembles a hospital than a Santa Fe hotel. The Bistro offerings, however, were very good and reasonably priced.

Doors Open Outside

Overall, very good experience. Renovations were completed recently. Although not open to the public which minimizes risk, room doors open to the outside - mainly an issue when its cold as it was last week. There was no way to get from my room to the hotel lobby or the bistro for meals without being outside in the elements.
