Great for a final night in Madrid

Lovely welcome and a room upgrade on arrival. Room was on a high floor with views into the distance. The room was spacious and clean. Like many hotels the light switches are unfathomably far away from the bed! The air con didn’t seem to cool the room but there were openable windows. And there were no USB sockets by the bed. But there was able free water and some snacks and the TV was able to Cast content from the phone. The hotel is in Retiro and not very central but great for a quick journey to the airport and close (12 mins walk) to a massive supermarket to stock up on Spanish goodies.

The hotel is ok at a cheap price but there is nothing within walking distance. Area is mixed. Hotel is updated but still feels old in communal areas which are quite scruffy. Beds average. Walls are not well sound proofed. You can hear the Neighbour’s room. Average hotel.

The hotel staff were so nice, they are pet friendly and had a cute little garden area that’s fenced in for hotel guests. Parking for a fee in a garage connected to the hotel. Short walk to the bus stop that was easy to get transport into the city.
