I checked in, exhausted from my drive, and unloaded a few things, and decided to go to bed after i walked my small dog. i placed refrigerated items om the top shelf, noting there were drippings on the bottom. It had not been wiped down. When ising the toilet, there was evidence on the outside bowl it had not been cleaned. The floor obviously had not been swept or mopped, and a bug walked across t he floor. Checked out the shower, i noticed someone had left a nose picking on the wall. The sink had a brown ring around the drain. Too tired to contact desk, repack the car and potentially move, i took a clean towel and spread it on the pillow, and slept with my clothes on on top of the yellowed sheets. I did tell the clerk when i checked out. Of course i want to think there was a miscommunication among the cleanimg staff that would allow this condition, and i know had i contacted them they would have moved me to a clean room, but i was just too tired.

The holder for door key was worn as if used repeatedly for years. The room was clean and looked recently updated. However, the mattress seemed to have broken spring, squeaked with movement. The shower curtain had mildew; it was due to tub not draining properly. First morning, coffee machine was not working. There was a waffle maker but no meat nor eggs only cold cereal and bread for toast.

The room had a smell but bleach sorta fixed that problem. The quilt had a stain the size of my hand but I put a mattress cover over it. The chair was filthy, but I never use a hotel chair anyway. I did like the hardwood floors though. It was weird they couldn't give me a receipt upon check out. Never had that issue.

Nice but Room For Improvement

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. But, one bed was hard and the other was lumpy, the desk chair was missing, and not all the light bulbs in the room were working.

The check in was great. The woman was fantastic. The room needs help. The door that goes to the outside has gaps on the right side that could allow pest and weather to come in. Baseboards in the bathroom, need to be re-caulked and painted. Cleanliness of the room could be improved. The ceiling vent in the bathroom is completely full of dust, the area in it around the mini fridge has not been cleaned and there is dust and dead bugs. Underneath the bed could use a good Swiffer and mopping. The comforter needs to be washed. I own a cleaning company, and this is not the level of cleaning that I would expect for my employees. Everything else in the room was fine The front desk personnel are awesome.
